Intensivists James M. Bailey, PhD,
MD
Dr.
Bailey is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of
Medicine. He graduated from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill with a PhD. He was a resident in
the department of anesthesiology at Emory University of
Affiliated Hospitals and is board certified in Anesthesiology.
He received a certificate of special qualifications in critical
care medicine and is a Diplomate in Adult Transesophageal
Echocardiography.
He is a member of the American
Society of Anesthesiology, the International Anesthesiology
Research Society, the Society of Cardiovascular
Anesthesiologists, the Association of Cardiac Anesthesiologists,
and the Association of University Anesthesiologists Society of
Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Bailey was the recipient of
the Alpha Omega Alpha award, Emory's Outstanding Resident Award
from the Department of Anesthesiology, and has served on many
committees and been published in several medical journals.
Steven Angelo Accarino, MD
Dr. Accarino graduated from the Universidad Autonoma De
Guadalajara and is board certified by the American Board of
Internal Medicine and the American Board of Critical Care
Medicine. He was Physician of the Year in 1988 at the Southeast
Permanente Medical Group and has served as Director of the
Medical Intensive Care Unit at North Fulton Regional Hospital.
Dr. Accarino is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and
the American College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Accarino has been
named Physician of the Year and served as director of the
Medical Intensive Care Unit.
Wendy Welch, PA
Wendy Welche graduated from Barry University with a Master's of
Clinical Medical Science. She is a member of the American
Academy of Physician Assitants and the Georgia Association of
Physician Assistants. |
The Department of Critical Care
Medicine provides comprehensive medical management for
individuals who have a critical illness or who have just
undergone major surgery who require advanced monitoring and care
in an intensive care setting.
We provide care 365 days a year,
around the clock. Critical care specialists provide dedicated,
continuous care to hospital patients who are critically ill.
Critical care physicians participate in several services from
Departments of Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Surgery,
Pediatrics and Neurology. The physicians are board
certified and are credentialed on most insurance plans.
