Benefits of a Primary Care
Physician
Establishing a relationship with a primary care provider allows
you to:
ENJOY the comfort of having a healthcare provider who is
familiar with your health history and with whom you can openly
discuss your concerns;
LEARN about your personal health and how to make
lifestyle changes that could prevent future health problems;
DETECT many health problems in their early, more treatable
stages;
TRUST your provider to coordinate your health care in the
appropriate directions;
REDUCE the cost of health care over time through prevention
of illness or early diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.

Neighborhood Healthcare Centers are part of the
primary care network of Northeast Georgia
Health System.
Offices are located throughout the region to provide high
quality, convenient primary care services. Our goal is for
patients to develop relationships with their healthcare
providers that foster open communication, wellness, early
detection of illness, and better health for each patient.
Primary care ranges from routine physicals to treating illnesses
and/or referring patients for specialty care when necessary.
Each office has its own
personality: hours and services to meet the needs of the people
in each community. Each office is staffed by at least one
physician, supported by a team of healthcare professionals
ranging from office staff to Physicians' Assistants and Nurse
Practitioners. Services provided are:
-
Family medical care
-
On-site X-ray, lab and ultrasound
-
Health screenings
-
Preventive education
-
Drug & alcohol screenings
-
Pre-employment screenings
-
Audiogram and pulmonary testing
-
Occupational medicine services
-
And more!
Insurance & Billing
As a convenience, primary and secondary insurances are filed by
our office. Should you wish to file your own insurance, you will
receive a receipt which contains all necessary filing
information. Fees are based on reasonable and customary charges
for the area. An estimated fee for any procedure will be given
on request.
We accept most major insurance
plans and encourage you to check with your insurance company to
determine if our physicians are in your network.
Medication & Your Care
An examination for proper diagnosis and treatment is usually
required before a prescription can be given. Feel free to ask
questions about your treatment or prescription. We want you to
clearly understand the treatment, medications, the anticipated
results and any possible side effects. Also, if you are
concerned about the cost of a particular drug, ask about an
alternative.
Medication refills can only be handled during regular office
hours. Please plan ahead if you are running low on medication.
On-call physicians cannot refill medications
SmartTalk
To help remind you of your appointment, we have implemented
SmartTalk, an automated appointment reminder system. SmartTalk
will contact you two days before your appointment to remind you
of your scheduled appointment. If you do not want to participate
in the reminder program, please inform the receptionist.
